About the Event

Pregnancy release is an experience that requires community support no matter the circumstances leading up to the decision. Despite there being history of abortion that dates all the way back to times of ancient Khemet, today there are so many stigmas and barriers set in place against it making it increasingly difficult for those who experience abortion. Everyone deserves care who chooses to have an abortion and it's important to be equipped with the knowledge and tools to be able to support!

If you are a partner to someone who has the capacity to become pregnant, interested in pregnancy release support, or just simply curious about the different methods and ways to support someone going through an abortion, this class is for you!

In this class, we will be talking about

  • both medical and self managed abortion methods
  • ending stigmas and barriers of accessing care
  • providing informational, emotional & physical support during an abortion

You will leave with

  • a strengthened toolkit to understand ways you can hold someone during an often-times complex experience
  • zines & resources to share with your community
  • a deeper understanding of what to expect during a pregnancy release
