My journey with gestational care began in 2017 when I did my first training with Birthingway school of Midwifery in Maine. Since then, I’ve participated in other culturally specific trainings with Roots of Labor Birth Collective in Oakland, CA where we explored topics about natural & in-hospital birth support, postpartum care, lactation support, and cosmology from the Diaspora around birth and healing.

 

I have supported clients across the country with abortion support and have strengthened my toolkit in being able to provide unconditional care for pregnancy loss & abortion clients with Full Spectrum Doula. Currently, I serve parents throughout pregnancy, labor & postpartum within the Black community in partnership with Sacred Roots Doula of the Black Parent Intitiative.

 

I believe that Reproductive Justice for all people is essential to the freedom & liberation of all people. I feel connected to doing this work because it brings me joy and purpose in knowing that at the end of the day I am able to provide support or a safer space for people to go through their myriad of experiences be it through birth, abortion, ancestral reconnection, intergenerational healing or any other kind of transformative process.
